Biography
Thalia spent her early years in rural Suffolk but has now lived in Lincolnshire for almost 40 years. Educated at the Grammar School in Newmarket, she trained as a Teacher, taught Home Economics and Food Studies in secondary schools until having a family break.
Thalia returned to teach 'Life-Skills' in a special needs school for boys with challenging behaviour. She has a love of plants and gardens, good food, walking and exploring new places.
Experience
For 35 years she has worked as a committee member/officer of Constituency branches and is currently Chairman of the Lincolnshire Area management team. In all of her roles she has experience in campaigning, administration and fund-raising. She is a long- term member and helper for EUW.
In her spare time Thalia continues to support and work for the Red Cross, and time permitting, Marie Curie and the Woodland Trust.
